The Equipment

Topcon Aladdin-1

The Topcon Aladdin-1 is a versatile optical biometer and corneal topographer designed to streamline cataract surgery planning. By combining precise biometric measurements with detailed corneal topography, it enables accurate IOL (intraocular lens) power calculations. The device can also assess corneal shape irregularities, aiding in the detection of conditions like keratoconus. Its ability to provide axial length, keratometry, and anterior chamber depth measurements ensures that both refractive and cataract surgeries are planned with the utmost precision.

Topcon CL-300

The Topcon CL-300 is a highly advanced digital lensmeter that provides swift and accurate measurement of lens power, including single vision, progressive, and multi-focal lenses. Its green LED light source enhances measurement reliability for all lens types, particularly in high-index and low-reflective lenses. This device plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients' spectacles are properly prescribed and can help identify inconsistencies in lens quality that could affect vision correction, contributing to better outcomes for those with refractive errors. The UV measurement function provides information on the ultraviolet transmittance in the range of 0% to 100%, providing reliable measurement results for eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Topcon CT-1

The Topcon CT-1 is a fully automated non-contact tonometer and corneal pachymeter and is an essential tool for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP), which is critical in the detection and management of glaucoma. Its air-puff technology eliminates the need for direct contact with the eye, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients while maintaining high accuracy. In addition to glaucoma screening, the CT-1 helps in monitoring ocular hypertension, a major risk factor for developing the disease. The device’s automatic alignment and compact design allow for quick and efficient testing even in patients with reduced compliance (for example children).

Haag Streit Octopus 900

The Haag Streit Octopus 900 is a comprehensive perimeter used to perform detailed visual field testing, an essential component in diagnosing and monitoring glaucoma, neurological disorders, and retinal diseases. This device offers both static and kinetic perimetry, allowing for a full analysis of a patient's visual field, including early detection of blind spots (scotomas). Its customizable testing protocols provide flexibility for various clinical needs, including monitoring disease progression in glaucoma and assessing visual function in cases of optic nerve damage or brain injury.

Haag Streit Slitlamp BP 900

The Haag Streit BP 900 slit lamp offers top-tier optical quality for both anterior and posterior segment examinations. With multiple magnification levels, it provides clear, detailed views of the cornea, lens, retina, and optic nerve, aiding in the diagnosis of a wide array of conditions such as cataracts, corneal ulcers, retinal detachments, and uveitis. The slit lamp’s precision optics make it a cornerstone for routine eye exams, allowing early detection of diseases like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The slit lamp is a equipped with a high resolution camera, allowing propped documentation of the course of a disease and allowing the patient to see his own pathology and better understand his ocular condition.

Topcon KR800S

The Topcon KR800S is a multi-functional autorefractor-keratometer that offers a comprehensive assessment of a patient’s refractive error and corneal curvature. In addition to providing standard refractive measurements, it includes for subjective testing, keratometry, contrast sensitivity, and glare testing, all of which are vital for the detection and management of conditions such as astigmatism, presbyopia, and cataracts.

Topcon CV-5000S

The Topcon CV-5000S digital phoropter system is an automated refraction tool that enhances the efficiency and accuracy of vision testing. It allows for precise measurements of a patient’s refractive error, offering rapid switching between lenses and saving time during refraction tests. This device is particularly useful for patients with complex prescriptions, enabling quick comparison of different corrective lens options. By incorporating automated refraction into routine eye exams, it helps diagnose refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism, ensuring accurate prescriptions and optimal visual outcomes. The phoropter system can also provide correction for strabismus, both vertical and horizontal, using the integrated prisms, as well as polarised and red-green trial lenses.

Topcon Triton OCT

The Topcon Triton OCT is a state-of-the-art optical coherence tomography system that delivers high-resolution images of the retina, choroid, and optic nerve. Using swept-source OCT technology, it captures deep, detailed scans of the eye’s internal structures, making it invaluable for diagnosing and monitoring macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and other retinal conditions. Its fast scan speed and wide field of view ensure that even subtle changes in retinal or choroidal thickness are detected, allowing for earlier intervention and improved patient outcomes.

Our Topcon OCT has a built-in OCT-Angiography feature, which can visualize blood flow in the retina and choroid without the need for dye injections. This non-invasive method is essential for diagnosing and monitoring vascular conditions like diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal vein occlusions. The device provides 3D imaging and “en face” views, offering comprehensive visualization of retinal layers, making it easier to detect subtle changes and improve diagnostic accuracy.

Equipped with an anterior segment lens, the Topcon Triton also captures high-resolution images of the cornea, anterior chamber, and lens. This makes it a versatile tool for both posterior and anterior segment evaluations, including glaucoma assessment, corneal diseases, and anterior segment tumors.
